Job summary

Brooks Automation seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to help develop next-generation control systems for semiconductor automation. You will design PCBs for system and robot controllers and collaborate across electrical, mechanical, and software teams to deliver robust solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters in Electrical Engineering with relevant experience.
• Experience with Spice modeling or similar analysis.
• Digital circuit design involving microcontrollers and data communication (SPI/I2C/Serial).
• DC-DC power supply design experience.
• Experience selecting components and interpreting datasheets.
• Cable design experience.
• Experience using standard lab equipment and tools.
• Prototyping and debugging circuits in a lab.
• Proficiency in Windows applications (Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Outlook).
• Ability to learn complex systems quickly and work independently.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good technical communication and presentation skills.
• Altium experience preferred.
• Occasional travel (<5%).

Responsibilities

• Develop new generation control solutions and analyze complex field/manufacturing challenges.
• Develop new PCBs for system and robot controllers and create engineering design specs.
• Deliver technical presentations and resolve cross-functional issues.
• Ensure proper documentation and adherence to processes and design standards.
• Collaborate with mechanical and software engineers on full product solutions.
• Work in a fast-paced project environment with occasional prototyping or testing in labs.
