Persona AI in Houston, TX is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design space- and performance-constrained electronics for our robot platforms. You will own from concept to delivery, architecture to PCB layout, bring-up, and cross-functional collaboration with firmware and mechanical teams.

The role emphasizes high-density, HDI, rigid-flex, chip-scale packaging, and rapid iteration with EMS partners. You will push for first-pass success across analog, power, and digital domains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (advanced degree a plus).
• 5+ years shipping production electronics; 3+ years with an advanced degree.
• Experience designing and bringing up highly integrated PCBAs and rigid-flex assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Design and support hardware architecture of tightly integrated PCBAs.
• Push density with HDI, vias, and chip-scale packaging for power and sensors.
• Co-design with mechanical engineers for 3D routing and connector placement.
• Support mixed-signal subsystems spanning analog sensing, power, and high-speed digital.
• Contribute to SI/PI analysis, return-path planning, decoupling, and EMI/EMC layouts.
• Bring up boards and debug with scope/logic analyzer; verify layout choices with data.
• Partner with EMS and fab houses on stackup, impedance, DFM/DFA/DFT, yield.
• Follow schematic/library/layout conventions to scale with the team.
• Collaborate with firmware/software to ensure board enables control stack.
