Job summary

Computational Physics Inc is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team at the U.S. Naval Observatory in Washington DC. This role involves designing, implementing, and validating satellite time transfer systems and their integration into existing infrastructure.

The successful candidate will hold a BS in Electrical or related engineering and have a strong background in RF communications, with an active SECRET security clearance. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including 401(k), health insurance, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical, Electronics or Computer Engineering from an ABET accredited institution.
• Active SECRET security clearance is required.
• Proficient in Python programming and RF system analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design, implementation, and performance validation of TWSTT and FTT systems.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain timing systems for optimal performance.
• Investigate new approaches to time transfer as well as improvements.

Skills

Knowledge of EE fundamentals: circuit theory, power, RF

RF and satellite communications theory

Python programming

Electronic test equipment use

Active SECRET security clearance

Education
