Summary

The Electrical Engineer prepares and reviews engineering designs and templates for our Renewable Energy Team. This role requires knowledge of NEC Code, solar, battery storage, and power generation/interconnection electrical engineering. The position is open to licensed electrical engineers or Engineers in Training willing to obtain licensure within 6 months. Location is flexible.

Responsibilities
  1. Prepare electrical engineering technical designs and templates for renewable energy installations.
  2. Conduct due diligence and interpret designs by others.
  3. Develop and review basis of design analyses.
  4. Collaborate with other technical disciplines.
  5. Prepare engineering design and construction documents.
  6. Enhance electrical design processes through collaboration.
  7. Travel for site inspections and evaluations.
  8. Participate in project meetings.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an accredited program.
  • Professional Engineer License or Engineer in Training willing to obtain license within 6 months.
  • 3+ years of experience with electrical design, including NEC Code, solar, battery storage, EV charging, and utility interconnection.
  • Strong problem-solving, evaluation, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, ETAP, MS Office, PVSYST, Helioscope, and other design software.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Visual acuity for reading printed and digital information.
  • Physical ability to perform duties involving bending, reaching, standing, walking, sitting, climbing ladders.
Compensation

Salary range: $90,000 to $150,000, based on experience and location. Eligibility for discretionary bonuses.
