Job summary

ZelTech in Cape Canaveral, FL seeks an Electrical Engineer to provide on-site problem-solving in electronics and circuit theory, supporting REPD with rapid prototype solutions that integrate computing, sensors, and communications. You will brainstorm ideas, solicit input, and deliver hardware/software-integrated results.

The role requires US citizenship, an active clearance, and substantial experience with digital signal processing, sensors, and embedded systems.

Qualifications

• US citizenship is required.
• Active clearance at Secret or higher is required.
• BA/BS in Electrical Engineering with 9+ years of experience.
• Ability to read schematics, board layouts and data sheets.
• Experience with debugging tools: oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, signal generators.
• Experience integrating sensors, communications and software in rapid prototype teams.

Responsibilities

• Work independently as well as part of a group.
• Significant knowledge and demonstrated experience in designing and applying digital filters to incoming and outgoing signals, implementing filters in hardware and software, and making rapid judgments regarding the evaluation, design and creation of sensors and communication systems.
• Process, exploit, analyze and report results from tests, demonstrations and evaluations to aid in determining sensor/system overall effectiveness.
• Ability to create customized code to perform data harvesting, processing, exploitation and formatting. Includes ability to work code solutions which utilize data from multiple sites, sensors and/or data types.
• Participates in trade studies to solve technical problems and identify preferred solutions.
• Participates in technical reviews to assess project progress from design through development and delivery.
• Serves as a team member on division wide, multidisciplinary efforts that involve critical IT issues.
• Performs other duties as assigned to accomplish the REPD mission.
• Contact with the customer/provide customer support (may be internal or external customer).
• Conduct some research to develop solutions to complex problems.
