Job summary

SpaceX in Cape Canaveral, FL seeks an Electrical Engineer for Propellant Generation (Starship) to lead electrical design for air separation, liquefaction, and power generation facilities supporting Starship production.

You will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to develop drawings, design documentation, and reports, and to manage construction contracts. This role demands hands-on field involvement and coordination with customers and contractors under tight schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or other engineering discipline.
• 1+ years of experience in the design or build of building infrastructure electrical systems.
• Primary experience with electrical and power distribution systems (<600Vac).
• Understanding of medium voltage system design and construction.
• Experience with UPS, backup generators, and ATS.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design for air separation plants, liquefaction systems, and gas turbine power generation plants.
• Work with customers to determine electrical requirements and needs.
• Develop drawings, design documentation, and reports for aerospace, industrial, and commercial projects.
• Write and manage construction contracts with subcontractors.
• Resolve design and construction conflicts in the field.
• Coordinate with the electrical utility for reliable power to site infrastructure.
• Provide support to electricians and technicians during construction and activation.
