Job summary

Pacifico Energy is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead FEED and EPC design for large-energy projects, including gas turbines, solar PV, and BESS. You will develop SLDs, electrical layouts, and protection schemes, coordinate with civil, mechanical, and control engineers, and ensure compliance with IEEE, IEC, and NEC standards.

The role requires 8+ years in power plants or industrial power systems, strong ETAP/PSCAD skills, and AutoCAD proficiency.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in electrical engineering or related field.
• Experience: 8+ years in power plants, renewable energy, or industrial power systems across lifecycle stages.
• Strong knowledge of HV/MV system design, protection schemes, and grid integration.
• Proficiency with ETAP, PSCAD, and AutoCAD is preferred.
• Excellent command of English is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop preliminary SLDs, electrical layouts, and system architectures for gas turbines, solar PV, and BESS.
• Define power distribution strategies and conduct load flow, fault, and short-circuit studies.
• Assess equipment requirements and procurement strategies for major electrical assets.
• Coordinate with civil, mechanical, and control engineers throughout FEED, EPC, construction, and commissioning.
• Prepare FEED-level reports and electrical documentation to support EPC transition.
