Job summary

Parsons seeks a Facilities Electrical Engineer (Intermediate) to join our team in Huntsville, Alabama, supporting the FMS program. The role covers facility planning, design, real property and equipment acquisition, and cost estimating across multiple sites.

You will perform engineering tasking, develop POAMs, and assist with engineering documents and system reviews. Travel up to 50% is required, with US and international deployments expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering with 5+ years of related experience; Engineer-in-Training (EIT) may be required.
• US citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
• Engineering support for planning, design, construction, and maintenance of facilities and infrastructure.
• Technical knowledge in electrical, mechanical, or related engineering disciplines.
• Ability to work in a team to solve engineering problems.
• Experience with facility engineering, studies, and analysis; ability to contribute to complex problems.
• Familiarity with Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Job Description:

Parsons seeks a talented Facilities Electrical Engineer (Intermediate) to join our team in Huntsville, Alabama. This position is on our TEAMS NEXT Facilities Lifecycle Management Contract (FLCM), in support of Foreign Military Sales (FMS).

What You'll Be Doing:

You will be on an integrated team performing engineering and construction integration and operations functions including but not limited to facility planning, design, real property and equipment acquisition, construction management, and cost estimating. Supporting facility engineering designs, construction project teams, and on-site equipment systems integration activities for building systems and facilities at multiple sites. Analyzing engineering tasking requirements, establishing mechanical/electrical scope and objectives, and developing Plan of Action and Milestones (POAM) documents. Performing relevant engineering research; assist with developing supporting engineering documents such as briefings, information papers and reports for facilities and infrastructure. Supporting systems engineering integrated baseline reviews, project change management and acquisition reviews. Coordinating with internal and external personnel including design and construction agents. Traveling up to 50% of time, CONUS, OCONUS, and international.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (or related field) and typically 5+ years of related work experience. In addition, an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate may be required.
• Must be US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
• Capable of providing engineering support for planning, design, construction, and maintenance/sustainment of the physical and natural environments, and the administrative and mission facilities and infrastructure of the Agency.
• Possess technical and engineering theoretical knowledge for an electrical, mechanical, or related engineering discipline.
• Capable of working as a team member to solve engineering problems.
• Expertise in execution of facility engineering, studies, and analysis. Works as a member of team and assists with solving complex problems.
• Familiarity with standard U.S. professional office software to include Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Flexibility to travel/deploy to customer sites for up to 30-40 days at a time, and up to 2-3 times per year. This includes both U.S. and international sites.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• B.S. degree in Engineering, from an ABET accredited university, with 7+ years of relevant experience An M.E. or M.S. degree in engineering plus five years of relevant engineering experience may be substituted for the seven years of relevant engineering experience requirement.
• A B.S. degree in engineering and a Professional Engineer (PE) license plus five years of relevant engineering experience may be substituted for the seven years of relevant engineering experience requirement.
• Familiarity with Missile Defense Agency and Department of War projects
• Active Secret Clearance or higher
• Project management experience during site deployment, to include construction, master schedules, budget, and configuration management
• Experience developing policies, plans, processes, procedures, and guidance for site activation, system deployment, and site sustainment practices
• Experience developing and implementing program activities; coordinating efforts of multiple stakeholders, prime contractors and subcontractors, and support service personnel
• Experience mentoring junior level staff members
• Familiar with AUTO CAD or similar drafting tools

Security Clearance Requirement:

A security clearance is not required to apply; however, the selected candidate must be able to obtain a Secret clearance which requires U.S. citizenship, prior to the start date.
