Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC in Bastrop, TX seeks an Electrical Engineer to support Energy Infrastructure & Generation. You will lead design and construction of generation plants and oversee commissioning, maintenance programs, and performance analyses.

The role requires strong experience in power systems, grid interconnections, and safety compliance. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in EE (or engineering), 3+ years in power generation, and a path toward Texas PE licensure.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or engineering.
3+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on power generation design, construction, or maintenance.

Responsibilities

Lead the engineering and construction of power generation plants (gas/diesel, gas turbines, solar, hybrid) to meet facility energy demands.
Oversee build and commissioning of power generation infrastructure, coordinating with construction teams for safe installation and integration with site power distribution.
Develop maintenance programs for power systems, including predictive maintenance schedules and performance monitoring.
Perform detailed power system analyses, including load forecasting and energy modeling for cost and efficiency.
Collaborate with utility providers to negotiate grid interconnections and design on-site generation with resilience.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair power generation equipment with safety and regulatory compliance in mind.
Drive innovation in sustainable power, including energy storage and renewables integration.
Develop long-term facility load ramps and energy procurement strategies with site teams.
