Job summary

Oak Ridge National Laboratory, operated by UT-Battelle, seeks an entry-level Electrical Engineer to support the Electrical Power Conversion Group in the RAD/NScD at ORNL. You will engage in maintenance, upgrades, and testing of HV modulators, magnet power supplies, beam kickers, and beam choppers within the SNS accelerator complex.

The role requires a BS in EE, knowledge of analog/digital circuits, and experience with circuit testing and documentation.

Qualifications

  • BS degree in electrical engineering or related field.
  • Solid understanding of analog and digital circuits and electric circuit theory.
  • Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and enhance the performance of High Voltage Modulators and related systems.
  • Provide accelerator operations support to maintain high neutron production availability.
  • Plan, manage, and execute maintenance and upgrade projects.
  • Develop design, installation, training, testing, and procurement documentation.
