Job summary

Hydro Extrusions in Cressona, PA is seeking an Electrical Engineer specializing in power distribution. You will review and approve electrical designs for new and existing equipment, manage installations, startups, and troubleshooting, and drive projects from scope through execution in a PESHA framework.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in a manufacturing environment as an electrical engineer.
• Experience with industrial power distribution systems, including 480V and/or medium-voltage systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the safe, on-time, and on-budget development and execution of capital projects.
• Provide electrical engineering and design from concept through hand-off using the PESHA process.
• Collaborate with internal/external engineering resources, equipment suppliers, and construction contractors to review electrical designs and support project execution.
• Perform engineering tasks including problem-solving, design calculations, equipment selection, electrical design, proposal reviews, and drawing management.
• Ensure proper operation and safety of equipment and processes.
• Recommend and implement changes to improve manufacturing value and system reliability.
• Ensure processes are capable, controlled, and meet delivery and cost targets.
• Be present on the shop floor to evaluate progress and troubleshoot issues.
• Manage contractors to ensure safe and productive execution of work.
