Job summary

BW Design Group seeks an Electrical Engineer, PE, to join our Architecture/Engineering Practice and lead design of full electrical systems for large facilities. You will work with industry experts to deliver high-quality solutions, including power distribution, lighting, and fire alarm design, while coordinating with architects and contractors.

The role emphasizes collaboration, client engagement, and translating requirements into practical, constructible designs.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on electrical engineering experience in lighting and power distribution for large facilities.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited).
• Experience producing construction documents (electrical plans, wiring diagrams).
• Familiarity with NEC and code compliance for complex facilities.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver full electrical systems (power, lighting, fire alarm) for manufacturing facilities.
• Prepare construction-ready drawings, specs, and bidding documents.
• Collaborate with multi-discipline teams and clients to align solutions with goals.
• Support proposals, site surveys, and field coordination; travel as needed.
