Job summary

Washington Equipment Manufacturing Company, Inc. (WEMCO, Inc.) seeks an Electrical Engineer to design, modify, and validate electrical systems for in-house built machinery. You will work under the VP and collaborate with mechanical, structural, and control systems engineers to grow capabilities.

The role requires a BS in EE, PE license, 3–5 years in industrial automation, and strong CAD/programming skills. Occasional travel and autonomous work are expected in a fast-paced manufacturing

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
• Professional Engineering license in Electrical Engineering.
• 3-5 years experience in industrial automation.
• Strong AutoCAD skills; Autodesk Inventor preferred.
• Strong Programming Skills.
• US Passport with no travel restrictions.

Responsibilities

• Design and evaluate electromechanical systems by applying principles of mechanics, electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and other power systems.
• Develop and review control systems by studying customer requirements, researching and testing manufacturing methods.
• Coordinate with engineers and staff to resolve design or performance issues.
• Create test procedures and assist during equipment assembly and commissioning.
• Perform root cause analysis for failure investigations and other data analysis tasks.
• Write periodic reports or presentations for customers on projects.
• Ensure electrical progress and installation checkout meet codes and standards before turnover.
• Travel for short periods to manage project assignments.
