Job summary

Venteon in Troy, MI seeks an Electrical Engineer to join a team focused on power and lighting distribution systems. The role is in-office and full-time, with collaboration across departments and guidance from a PE.

You will design distribution systems, manage VDC/BIM modelers and drafters, review project specifications, support production submittals, and assist in estimating by conducting site walks and BOM creation. Travel up to 20% may be required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of electrical experience.
• Experience with power and lighting distribution.
• Strong skills and proficiency in Revit software.
• Proven experience with reviewing, editing, and writing project specifications.
• Experience generating and/or reviewing production submittals against project specifications.
• Experience with walk-throughs, defining scope, and generating bill of materials.
• Self-directed with the ability to manage others.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work cohesively with other departments.
• Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, set priorities, and follow projects to completion.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel 10-20% of the time to jobsites in multiple states.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Venteon is currently seeking an Electrical Engineer to fill an opening with a company located in Troy, MI. Join a dynamic team in a full-time, direct-hire role with a company specializing in power and lighting distribution systems. Work in an in-office environment with opportunities to collaborate across departments. Contribute to projects under the guidance of a Professional Engineer (PE) on staff. Manage and coordinate project teams, including 3D modelers and 2D drafters. Play a key role in reviewing and developing project specifications and production submittals. Assist in the estimating process by participating in jobsite walk-throughs and generating bill of materials. Take on additional tasks and duties as assigned by management.
