Job summary

Tecogen, Inc. seeks an Electrical Engineer to design mixed-signal circuits for PCBs and harnesses for energy-efficient stationary generators and chillers. You’ll contribute to product performance through circuit development, board testing, and close collaboration with suppliers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field is required.
• 3+ years in Electrical/Manufacturing engineering in a production environment.
• Hands-on system-level electrical testing and troubleshooting experience.
• Experience reading schematics, ladder diagrams, and wire run lists.
• Experience with oscilloscopes, power supplies, function generators, DMM, LabVIEW; HVAC/energy systems experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop circuits and electrical schematics to improve product lines.
• Design power electronics for generators, chillers, and energy systems.
• Design harnesses, select components, and develop test fixtures.
• Support Manufacturing Tests and R&D projects with prototyping and testing.
• Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Lead outsourcing efforts for cables, harnesses, and electrical assemblies.
• Develop board testing processes and procedures for manufacturing.
