Forge is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design, test, and deploy electronics for our Ember 25 MWe nuclear reactor. You will lead electrical architecture, specifications, and interdisciplinary collaboration to balance cost, efficiency, and safe operation.

The role demands hands-on hardware experience, the ability to perform trade studies, and readiness to relocate to the South Bay area for full-time office work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related technical discipline.
• 1+ years of engineering experience designing, analyzing, and building electrical hardware (internship and school projects qualify).
• Willingness to relocate to the South Bay area, Los Angeles County.

Responsibilities

• Rapidly design, develop, and test reliable electronics for the reactor.
• Drive electrical architecture, specs, and communication protocols.
• Collaborate with diverse teams to balance cost, efficiency, and deployment logistics.
• Perform make-vs-buy trades for critical electrical systems, including actuators.
• Design plant electricals to meet regulatory safety standards while cutting costs.
