Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking an Electrical Engineer to perform design activities across the full design process, from specifications to first field implementation of new tooling. The role reports to the Sr Manager of Inspection Technology and is based at the Waltz Mill facility in Madison, PA, with travel up to 20% and onsite work five days a week.

Responsibilities include design evaluations, procedure creation, troubleshooting robotic equipment, vendor interfacing, and process

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience.
• Technical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to use oscilloscopes to troubleshoot and read electrical schematics.
• Soldering components from cable assemblies to board level.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% and work onsite in industrial/nuclear environments.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain unescorted access to a nuclear facility.
• Able to stand or sit for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and climb stairs/ladders.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical engineering design evaluations and analyses; specify components.
• Create and revise procedures to support design or field activities.
• Support troubleshooting, repair, and functional testing of electro/mechanical robotic equipment.
• Interface with vendors and internal groups to obtain necessary information.
• Identify and recommend process or equipment improvements and assist implementation.
• Support field implementation and troubleshooting of inspection equipment at nuclear sites.
