Job summary

IDEAL ELECTRIC POWER CO. is seeking an Electrical Engineer at our Mansfield, Ohio facility. You will design and optimize rotating electrical equipment, collaborate with mechanical, manufacturing, and service teams, and support certification efforts to meet safety and reliability standards.

The role requires a strong foundation in electromagnetic design, winding patterns, insulation systems, and power electronics. Occasional travel to customer sites may be involved as part of project engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of electrical design of rotating machinery preferred.
• Strong knowledge of electromagnetic principles and winding design.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical designs for rotating machinery (synchronous, induction, PM, etc.).
• Design synchronous excitation systems and high-voltage insulation.
• Analyze and optimize motor/generator performance and efficiency.
• Prepare test reports and ensure compliance with specs and standards.
• Collaborate with mechanical, manufacturing, and sales teams.
