Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team delivering complex, mission-critical power systems.

You will design, analyze, and document power distribution, UPS, and coordination with other trades using AutoCAD and REVIT. The role requires a BS in Electrical Engineering, 0+ years of relevant experience, and an active Top Secret clearance with willingness to obtain a polygraph.

Qualifications

• BSc in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program.
• 0+ years' experience in design, testing and commissioning of building power systems.
• Active Top Secret clearance required; willing to obtain a Polygraph.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, MS Project, and engineering software.
• Familiar with NEC, NESC, IEEE, IEC, and local codes.
• Strong communication, coordination and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Originate and execute detailed design with limited supervision by Senior Engineers.
• Design or integrate: normal power distribution, emergency power, UPS.
• Coordinate device locations with trades and interpret equipment requirements.
• Prepare project specifications for equipment and installation methods.
• Analyze electrical distribution systems for short circuit, arc flash, etc.
• Document design work via AutoCAD and REVIT in 2D/3D.
• Support construction activities including RFI responses and submittals.
• Assist Project Lead Engineers in managing deliverables.
• Manage scopes, deadlines, and budgets within the agreed plan.
• Research and prototype emerging technologies for customer needs.
• Keep senior staff informed of decisions and objectives.
• Manage time effectively and support multiple projects.
