Job summary

CM Mission Critical Engineering is seeking an Electrical Engineer to produce detailed construction drawings and specifications, perform electrical calculations, and coordinate with project teams to deliver complex, mission-critical projects. The role requires hands-on design in lighting, power systems, NEC/ NFPA/IBC code analysis, and collaboration across disciplines.

A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and up to 7 years of design experience are expected; EIT licensure is preferred and

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering required.
  • 0–7 years of electrical engineering design experience.
  • E.I.T. certification preferred but not required.
  • PE licensure pursued is a plus.
  • Experience in mission-critical, industrial, or similar environments preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lighting system design including photometric analysis & fixture selection.
  • Emergency/standby power system design including generators, UPS systems, & ATS.
  • Code analysis including NEC, NFPA, IBC, & local amendments.
  • Engineering studies including fault current analysis, selective coordination, arc flash, voltage drop calculations, and Neher-McGrath calculations.
  • Coordination with mechanical, structural, architectural, & low‑voltage disciplines.
  • Review of submittals, RFIs, & construction-phase documentation.
  • Participation in internal QA/QC processes to ensure accuracy & completeness of deliverables.
