Job summary

CM Mission Critical Engineering in Dallas, TX is seeking an Electrical Engineer to produce detailed construction drawings, perform complex calculations, and coordinate with project teams to ensure on-time delivery.

You will join a highly technical team focused on mission-critical environments; a Bachelor's in electrical engineering and 0-7 years experience are expected, with EIT preferred and PE licensure a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a closely related field is required.
• 0-7 years of electrical engineering design experience.
• E.I.T. certification preferred but not required.
• PE certification or active pursuit of licensure is a plus.
• Experience in mission-critical, industrial, commercial, or similar environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lighting system design including photometric analysis & fixture selection
• Emergency/standby power system design including generators, UPS systems, & automatic transfer schemes
• Code analysis including NEC, NFPA, IBC, & local amendments
• Engineering studies including but not limited to fault current analysis, selective coordination, arc flash, voltage drop calculations, and Neher-McGrath calculations.
• Coordination with mechanical, structural, architectural, & low-voltage disciplines
• Review of submittals, RFIs, & construction-phase documentation
• Participation in internal QA/QC processes to ensure accuracy & completeness of deliverables
