Job summary

Stillpoint AEC is seeking an Electrical Engineer with experience designing electrical systems for buildings in an MEP/AEC setting. You will design power distribution, lighting, emergency power, fire alarm, and related systems, while performing calculations and coordinating with other disciplines.

The role offers opportunities for project leadership, mentorship, and involvement in meaningful building projects, with hybrid/onsite work options and support for licensure and professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline preferred.
• Current electrical building systems design experience in MEP/AEC environments.
• Experience with power distribution, lighting, emergency power, and fire alarm systems.
• PE licensure preferred; EIT candidates considered.
• Experience with industry software such as Revit, AutoCAD, ETAP, SKM PowerTools, EasyPower, AGi32, Visual Lighting.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical building systems including power distribution, lighting, emergency power, fire alarm, grounding, and low-voltage systems.
• Perform load calculations, voltage drop, short-circuit, coordination studies, and equipment sizing.
• Develop power distribution systems, single-line diagrams, panel schedules, lighting layouts, and equipment specs.
• Prepare calculations, reports, plans, specs, and construction documents.
• Coordinate with architectural, mechanical, plumbing, and other disciplines and mentor junior staff.
