Job summary
Stillpoint AEC seeks an Electrical Engineer with current experience designing building electrical systems for MEP/AEC environments in Houston. Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline required or preferred
- Experience designing electrical building systems in MEP/AEC environments
- Professional Engineer licensure preferred; EIT considered
- Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA, energy codes, and building electrical standards
- Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, and electrical design software is a plus
Responsibilities
- Design building electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, emergency power, fire alarm, grounding, and low-voltage systems
- Perform electrical load calculations, voltage drop, short-circuit studies, and equipment sizing
- Develop power distribution diagrams, panel schedules, lighting layouts, and specs
- Prepare calculations, reports, plans, specs, and construction documents
- Coordinate electrical systems with architectural, mechanical, plumbing, structural disciplines
- Support schematic design through construction administration and permitting
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship based on experience
