Job summary

Stillpoint AEC is seeking an Electrical Engineer with proven experience designing building electrical systems within an MEP consulting or AEC setting. You will lead electrical design tasks, coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams, and contribute to meaningful, technically challenging projects in the San Francisco area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline preferred.
• Current electrical building systems design experience within an MEP/AEC environment required.
• Experience with power distribution, lighting, emergency power, fire alarm, and other building electrical systems.
• Professional Engineer licensure preferred; EIT candidates actively progressing toward PE licensure will be considered.
• Experience with software platforms such as Revit, AutoCAD, ETAP, SKM PowerTools, EasyPower, AGi32, Visual Lighting or similar.
• Working knowledge of NEC, NFPA standards, energy codes, and building codes.
• Experience preparing electrical calculations, plans, specifications, and construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Design building electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, emergency and standby power, fire alarm, grounding, and low-voltage systems.
• Perform electrical load calculations, voltage drop calculations, short-circuit and coordination studies, equipment sizing, and related analyses.
• Develop power distribution systems, single-line diagrams, panel schedules, lighting layouts, controls, and equipment specs.
• Prepare calculations, reports, plans, specifications, and construction documents.
• Coordinate electrical systems with architecture, mechanical, plumbing, and other disciplines.
• Support projects through design phases and construction administration.
