Leidos DLBA Naval Architects is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join a client team supporting NSWCCD Code 83. You will perform electrical design, analysis, research and testing for small naval craft on-site at Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek–Fort Story.

Responsibilities include power system analyses, component selection, and collaboration with mechanical engineers to ensure robust solutions. Requires DoD clearance, naval domain knowledge, and CAD proficiency.

Competenze

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Active DoD secret security clearance.
• B.S. Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 4 years electrical engineering experience.
• Knowledge of marine electrical engineering, specs and regulatory requirements (BS/RINA/LR/ISO/USCG/ABYC).
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Rhino) and MS Office.

• Prepare engineering calculations using first principles and develop solutions.
• Assist client teams in boat/craft design and provide practical solutions.
• Collaborate with teammates to develop small craft design solutions.
• Complete engineering tasks accurately and on time using standard programs.
• Provide onsite electrical engineering service to NSWCCD Code 83 at Little Creek–Fort Story.
• Prepare electrical plant load analyses (EPLA).
• Size power banks, generators, alternators, and other power requirements.
• Design electrical subsystems and coordinate with the mechanical team.
