Job summary

Find Great People | FGP is hiring an Electrical Engineer in Greenville, SC to design, develop, and optimize packaging manufacturing equipment.

You will support automation projects, equipment upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced plant environment, requiring 3–5 years of relevant experience and a strong background in PLCs, HMIs, and motor controls.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
3–5 years in manufacturing electrical engineering.
Experience with PLCs, automation, motor controls, sensors.
Knowledge of Allen-Bradley/Siemens or similar systems.
Familiar with AutoCAD Electrical.
Strong project management and problem-solving.
Excellent communication and cross-functional skills.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain electrical systems and automation equipment.
Troubleshoot electrical and automation issues to minimize downtime.
Support PLC programming, HMI, motion controls, VFDs, and control systems.
Lead equipment installation, commissioning, startup activities.
Collaborate with maintenance, operations, and engineering to improve efficiency.
Develop electrical schematics, docs, and equipment specs.
Ensure safety standards and electrical codes compliance.
Drive continuous improvement in productivity, quality, and cost.
