Job summary

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is seeking an Lifting and Handling Electrical Engineer to support maintenance and improvement of lifting and handling systems used in the nuclear refueling mission. You will work in a multidisciplinary engineering environment with mechanical, structural, operations, and maintenance teams to ensure equipment reliability and safety.

Requirements include a relevant degree with years of experience or current internal engineering roles; a strong safety focus and ability

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related technical, engineering or science field with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Master's degree in a related technical, engineering or science field with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Currently an Intermediate Reactor Training Engineer, Refueling Engineer, or Field (RPCO) Engineer at the Company.

Responsibilities

  • Support design changes, maintenance planning, field walkdowns, and issue resolution for electrically powered lifting and handling equipment.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure equipment reliability and compliance with codes and standards.
