Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an Electrical Engineer for Launch Infrastructure (Starship) at Cape Canaveral, FL. You will lead a team of engineers and contractors through the electrical design, construction, and commissioning of critical launch infrastructure.

You will work with customers to define electrical requirements, develop engineering drawings and reports, and manage contracts with subcontractors while ensuring safe, reliable power for orbital launch readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• 2+ years of experience in the design or build of building infrastructure electrical systems.
• Familiarity with NEC, NFPA, and IBC standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical project team, consulting engineers and contractors through the electrical engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning process.
• Determine electrical requirements with internal and external customers.
• Develop drawings, design documentation, and reports for aerospace, industrial, and commercial projects.
• Write, negotiate, and manage construction contracts with subcontractors across multiple disciplines.
• Resolve design and construction conflicts in the field in real time.
• Coordinate with the utility provider for design to ensure reliable power service to critical site infrastructure.
• Provide support to electricians and technicians during construction and activation of power distribution equipment.
• Interact with engineers, contractors, fabricators, and project stakeholders.
