Newport News Shipbuilding, a division of HII, seeks an Electrical Engineer 4 to design, develop, and test electrical components and networks for naval propulsion and power systems. You will work on complex projects, collaborating with engineers and technicians to create robust, innovative electrical solutions that support vessel performance and reliability.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering (ABET-accredited) with substantial experience; U.S. citizenship is required.

Qualifikationen

ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
U.S. citizenship required for this position.
Experience with electrical design and systems integration preferred.

Aufgaben

Design and develop complex electrical systems, including power distribution, control systems, and electrical infrastructure
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements and deliverables
Develop and implement testing and validation procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers and technicians
Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical issues, using advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
