Engineer IV
Duration: 12 Months
Hybrid – 3 Times Per Week Onsite

This position performs engineering conceptual design, studies, calculations, and protection settings development for substation protection systems. Primary responsibilities include applying new protective relaying for existing infrastructure or new transmission system capital investments. Additional duties include providing protective relay settings support and troubleshooting, as well as developing, implementing, and maintaining protective device settings templates (transmission line protection, transformer protection, bus protection, capacitor protection, etc.).
Responsibilities also involve managing and responding to Protection System settings tasks via the team’s planner tool, handling requests from various teams such as Account Management, Distribution, Transmission Planning, and System Performance. The candidate will support Transmission Capital projects and be responsible for QA of OLRs and protection system settings.
Requirements
Additional skills include providing engineering/technical expertise, assisting in planning and organizing work activities, preparing technical reports and documentation, conducting engineering studies, and developing positive working relationships. Candidates should demonstrate effective communication skills, maintain accurate records, and support company goals. A minimum of 15 years of discipline experience and SME (Subject Matter Expert) skills are required.
