Position: Full-Time, Staff Electrical Engineer IV

Location: Greenville SC, Charlotte NC, or Remote

Job Description

As an Electrical Engineer IV, you'll lead and spearhead the design and development of large-scale renewable energy projects. Your responsibilities include electrical design and analysis of solar energy systems, power generation, substations, power distribution, lighting, and grounding systems. You will estimate, conduct conceptual and cost studies, develop layouts, perform system sizing calculations, and create electrical diagrams. You should be able to communicate technical solutions effectively, mentor junior engineers, and potentially lead project teams. You will also ensure effective communication among engineering disciplines and manage project costs, schedules, and changes.

Principal Responsibilities
  • Provide technical guidance on design deliverables, specifications, and calculations.
  • Develop and monitor project scopes, schedules, and budgets.
  • Coordinate design efforts with other disciplines and clients.
  • Ensure design work complies with codes and standards.
  • Stamp project documents as a PE when responsible.
Required Skills
  • Experience in medium and low voltage electrical distribution design, including lighting, grounding, lightning protection, and power systems, with knowledge of NEC, IEEE, NEMA, NFPA, NETA standards.
  • Proficiency in solar farm design and tools like PVsyst, XGSLab, Revit, AutoCad, Bluebeam, SKM, ETAP.
  • Strong leadership in large-scale project electrical design, ensuring compliance and collaboration.
  • Experience in project execution, scope development, and stakeholder communication.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
  • 10+ years of engineering experience.
  • PE license preferred.
  • Ability to pass background screening.
Compensation & Benefits

Wage range: $114,880 - $172,320, based on experience and location. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including health coverage, paid leave, and voluntary benefits.
