Job summary

GPTech seeks an Electrical Engineer to support the Department of State (DOS) IDIQ contracts. The engineer will perform technical inspections of electrical work, monitor quality control, and review drawings and specs for compliance on international facilities.

The position requires a US Bachelor's in electrical engineering, 7+ years on construction projects, and an active Secret clearance; willingness to travel worldwide is essential. Overseas experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from a US accredited university.
• Minimum 7 years’ experience on construction projects.
• Active Secret Clearance is mandatory.
• Experience with international codes and overseas projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide QA management and technical oversight of the program to ensure contract requirements are met.
• Review design documents, shop drawings, and final design parameters for compliance.
• Observe onsite construction, verify proper installation and execution.
• Monitor safety programs and progress, prepare weekly status reports.
• Perform technical inspections of electrical elements and support project director.
