Job summary

RTX's Hardware Engineering Center (HWEC) in the United States offers an Electrical Engineering Intern role supporting multi-discipline teams on military programs, applying EE resources and design processes to electronics products. You will gain hands-on lab experience, work with schematic capture, HDL code development, and CAE tools, and prepare reports using Excel/Office.

You must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Electrical or related STEM with at least 60 credit hours by Summer

Qualifications

  • Must be pursuing Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Electrical or related STEM major and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
  • Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of Summer 2027

Responsibilities

  • Gain valued electrical engineering skills through hands-on lab work testing, troubleshooting, and integrating analog, and/or digital electronics
  • Working with industry standard electrical engineering CAE (computer-aided engineering) tools
  • Utilizing electrical engineering lab equipment on daily basis
  • Working with schematic capture, HDL code development, synthesis, and simulation
  • Creating reports and out briefs using Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

It is a vital link in the integrated product development process that allows our company to introduce reliable new products faster, better, and more economically.

An effective candidate for the Electrical Engineering Inter position will support in multi-discipline teams supporting primarily military programs through application of EE resources and design processes. Chosen candidate will be a team member supporting on the design, analysis and support of electronics products.

What You Will Do
  • Gain valued electrical engineering skills through hands-on lab work testing, troubleshooting, and integrating analog, and/or digital electronics

Qualifications You Must Have
  • Must be pursuing Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Electrical or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
  • Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of Summer 2027
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Experience reading drawings and electrical schematics
  • Experience testing and troubleshooting electrical circuits
  • Experience documenting test results and repair recommendations
  • Experience working in a lab environment with standard Electrical Engineering lab equipment (i.e., Vector Network Analyzers, Power Meters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, digital multi meters (DMMs), signal sources)

  • Relocation Eligibility

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
