Job summary

ADP, Inc. in Overland Park, KS is seeking an Electrical Engineer Intern for Summer 2027 to support development, integration, testing, and maintenance of Ground-Based Radio Navigational Aids (NAVAIDS) and surveillance systems.

You will assist with circuit design, analog/digital electronics, PCB troubleshooting, and documentation across hardware and test environments, gaining hands-on experience in radar, navigation, and air traffic tech.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Assist Electrical Engineers with circuit design, analysis, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation of electronic systems and assemblies.
• Support the development and integration of analog, digital, RF, and power electronics used in radar, navigation, and surveillance systems.
• Assist with prototype assembly, modification, testing, and troubleshooting of electronic hardware and circuit boards.
• Perform electrical testing using standard laboratory equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and power supplies.
• Support hardware integration and validation activities to ensure products meet technical and customer requirements.
• Assist with the creation and execution of test procedures, test reports, schematics, and engineering documentation.
• Participate in design reviews and collaborate with Electrical, Software, Systems, Manufacturing, and Quality Engineering teams.
• Support troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of electrical and electronic hardware issues encountered during development, production, and testing.
• Assist with Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), Bills of Materials (BOMs), drawings, and other product documentation.
• Support manufacturing and production engineering activities related to the assembly, testing, and improvement of electronic products.
