Job summary

ADP, Inc. in Overland Park, KS is seeking a Software Engineer Intern for Summer 2027 to contribute to embedded software and firmware development for ground-based navigational aids and radios.

You will engage in requirements gathering, design, coding, integration, validation, and maintenance, and you will create automated tests for manufacturing and environmental testing. Proficiency in C/C++, Python, MATLAB, and Visual Studio is expected.

Qualifications

• Embedded software and firmware development for Ground-Based Radio Navigational Aids (NAVAIDS), Surveillance Radios (ADS-B/WAM), and other systems.
• Gather requirements, design, code, integrate (software/firmware/hardware), validate, troubleshoot, and maintain.
• Create automated tests for product manufacturing including controlling automated test equipment, environmental chambers, and built-in test.
• Participate in design reviews to ensure adherence to customer requirements and internal processes.

Responsibilities

• Embedded software and firmware development for NAVAIDS and radios.
• Support embedded software and firmware development through requirements gathering, design, coding, integration, validation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Create automated tests for product manufacturing including environmental chambers and automated test equipment.
• Participate in design reviews to ensure alignment with customer requirements.
