Job summary

Black & Veatch Corporation is seeking a Summer Intern in Electrical Engineering to support Advanced Power Generation. You will work on a variety of projects and gain hands‑on experience within an employee‑owned engineering, procurement, consulting, and construction environment.

The role is based in Cary, NC (with other listed locations) and requires enrollment in an ABET‑accredited Electrical Engineering program; no experience required.

Qualifications

• Relevant coursework or knowledge in Power Systems, Motors, Transformers, Renewable Energy, Power Delivery, or Three Phase Power Calculations
• Understanding of engineering design principles and design guides
• Problem-solving skills, effective written communication, and the ability to build relationships
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development of electrical engineering deliverables like reports, drawings, specifications, and studies
• Assist with the engineering analyses, designs, and report production
• Collaborate with other disciplines and schedule project deliverables
• Organize and evaluate data, utilizing computer modeling to analyze systems
• Organize project materials, references, and documentation
