Job Summary

Design, develop, test, and support electrical components, equipment, and systems for surface ship and submarine launch control systems for the U.S. Navy. Responsibilities include research, design, testing, vendor selection, quality control, and technical field support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research, design, prototype, and test electrical analog and digital circuitry.
  • Develop cable and data acquisition systems with high‑speed communication interfaces (UART, I2C, CANBUS, Ethernet).
  • Perform EMI/EMC troubleshooting and create PCB layouts with signal and power integrity.
  • Write firmware in C, C++, or Python and manage the full product cycle.
  • Lead technical field issue resolution and vendor management.
  • Troubleshoot electromechanical control systems, motors, actuators, and sensors.
  • Work autonomously and act as a self‑starter.
Qualifications – Level 3
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 5 years of relevant experience; or Master’s Degree with 3 years.
  • Mastery of analog (op‑amps, regulators, RF) and digital (logic, microprocessors, FPGAs) circuits with pSpice, LTspice, MATLAB.
  • Expertise in UART, I2C, CANBUS, high‑speed Ethernet communication protocols.
  • Proficiency in EMI/EMC analysis, complex PCB layout, and firmware development.
  • Experience managing vendor selection, quality control, and technical field support.
  • Proficient with data acquisition systems, cable design, and electromechanical control troubleshooting.
  • US citizenship required; ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
Qualifications – Level 4
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 8 years of relevant experience; or Master’s Degree with 6 years.
  • All Level3 qualifications plus extended experience in product lifecycle management.
  • Proven record in managing high‑impact technical issues for customers.
  • US citizenship required; ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least two years of work experience with DoD products, PCB/CCB design.
  • Electromagnetic interference testing and mitigation design experience.
  • Proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink, LabVIEW, and LabWindows.
  • Programming in C/C++/C# and FPGA concepts.
  • Current DoD Secret security clearance.
  • Knowledge of NFPA70E grounding and EMI design practices.
Salary Range

Primary level: $114,000–$171,000 per year. Secondary level: $142,200–$213,400 per year. Base salary is determined by scope, responsibilities, experience, education, and market conditions.
