Job summary

Panelmatic, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Electrical Engineer to design and implement utility grade electrical power systems for a manufacturing environment.

You will lead the design of switchgear packages, perform technical reviews, and release BOMs for purchasing and fabrication. The role requires a BS in Electrical Engineering, manufacturing experience, and strong communication skills in a multi-project setting.

Qualifications

  • BS in Electrical Engineering or a similar degree is required.
  • Experience in an engineering role in a manufacturing environment is required.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills are required.
  • Ability to work in a multi-project multitask environment with changing priorities is required.
  • Analytical abilities and problem solving skills are required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • US work authorization without sponsorship is required.
  • Growth mindset with willingness to take on challenges is required.
  • Ability to pass physical, drug, driving and background checks is required.
  • Ability to sit, stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs is required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of comprehensive electrical packages for switchgear projects (one-lines, three-lines, schematics, wiring diagrams, BOMs).
  • Conduct a technical review of projects.
  • Release bill of material for purchasing and fabrication.
  • Incorporate new product designs and modifications into production engineering systems.
  • Support product development for modeling and design for manufacturing (DFM).
  • Assist in creating and maintaining standard designs and configurations.
  • Provide manufacturing support for product and project questions and issues.
  • Provide technical, purchasing and sourcing support as required.
  • Mentor other engineers on the team.
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineering, project management and customers as needed.
  • Communicate job status and potential issues to supervisor.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of engineering systems and processes.
