Job summary

Mission Critical Group (MCG) in Caldwell, ID is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design, analyze, and test power equipment and systems for critical environments. You will translate client specs into schematics, create documentation, and support field installation.

Responsibilities include creating one-line diagrams, BOMs, performing NEC compliance checks, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure safety and performance.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering required.
• 2–3 years of electrical engineering experience.
• Experience with electrical power distribution systems.
• Knowledge of generator systems and backup power solutions.
• Proficiency in electrical design, load calculations, and layouts.
• Experience designing industrial control panels with NEC/NFPA 70 in mind.
• UL508A certification preferred; training available.

Responsibilities

• Prepare one-line diagrams, drawings, and specs for packaged backup power systems.
• Develop designs integrating generators, breakers, transformers, control panels, and distribution.
• Perform engineering analysis on electrical systems for JTS products.
• Create and manage electrical BOMs.
• Ensure compliance with safety codes, NEC/NFPA 70, and customer requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project execution and field support.
