Job summary

Thermon is seeking an Electrical Engineer in Morristown, TN to design and review electrical control systems for boiler products. You will prepare wiring diagrams, BOMs, and select components to meet precise customer specifications and safety codes.

The role requires 5+ years of electrical engineering experience, CAD proficiency, and strong ability to read complex drawings. Opportunities include collaboration with senior staff and on-site problem solving at a leading boiler manufacturing facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical control systems and review existing control systems for all product lines, including gas fired boilers, electrode, and electric boilers.
• Prepare schematic wiring diagrams, control panel layouts, and bills of materials.
• Select components to meet customer specifications and code requirements.
• Assure compliance of products with NEC, NFPA, UL, CSA codes.
• Check with shop assemblers to confirm fabrication as designed and practical.
• Maintain UL files and records for listed products.
• Assist customers and service technicians with troubleshooting, remotely and on-site.
• Write technical documents and operation descriptions for manuals.
• Assist other departments such as marketing, purchasing, and manufacturing as needed.
• Write PLC programs.
