Job summary

Therm-x of California is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design, develop, and support industrial electrical and control systems used in advanced manufacturing and test environments.

The role involves working with cross-functional teams, applying sound engineering judgment, and contributing to new product development and sustaining engineering efforts. A BS in Electrical Engineering is required, with hands-on experience in schematics, wiring diagrams, PLCs, HMIs, and UL508A compliance.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in industrial electrical/control systems.
• Ability to work independently on well-defined problems.
• Comfortable with wiring, assembly, and prototyping.
• Experience with UL508A standards is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, review, and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, specifications, and BOMs.
• Evaluate designs for functionality, safety, compliance, and manufacturability.
• Prototype, test, and validate new concepts in R&D.
• Perform electrical testing with multimeters, LCR meters, impedance analyzers, and spectrum analyzers.
• Develop and support industrial control panels and electrical test systems.
• Collaborate with manufacturing to provide OMS documentation such as process flow diagrams, BOMs, and work instructions.
• Troubleshoot electrical and control system issues during development and production.
• Collaborate with mechanical, manufacturing, quality, and test teams for product release.
