Job summary

AE2S in Grand Forks, ND is seeking an Electrical Engineer in Training (EIT) to grow under project management and design engineers, developing skills in report preparation, electrical system studies, design tasks including calculations, plan/specs, bidding assistance and construction administration, with emphasis on personal/career development.

Responsibilities include electrical design for water and municipal projects, SCADA systems, and support for reports and bids, with a focus on training

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• FE certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to travel as required (less than 10%).
• Must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements including background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical engineering design tasks for water, wastewater, municipal, and process industrial projects.
• Assist in design of power distribution systems, SCADA, access control and fire alarm systems, and backup power generation.
• Assist Project Managers with reports, studies, plans, specifications, and estimates.
• Assist in design, bidding and construction of electrical systems.
• Maintain project records in Deltek software.
• Attend design review meetings and coordinate with other disciplines.
