Job summary

KCI Technologies, Inc. is seeking an Electrical EIT to support MEP design projects in San Antonio. The role involves developing electrical design drawings, one-line diagrams, load analyses, panel schedules, and researching data sheets for equipment specification.

Qualifications

  • 0-2 Years of experience

  • General knowledge of required design software (MicroStation, AutoCAD, Revit)
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Good communication and technical writing skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and preparation of construction drawings for a variety of MEP projects
  • Perform engineering calculations, interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Work with multiple engineering disciplines and perform drafting/CADD work.
  • Conduct site visits to gather data, including measurements, sketches, notes, and photographs, as needed.
  • Prepare design calculations, drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for review and approval.
  • Review and approve shop drawings and ensure that they meet project requirements.
  • Read and interpret technical documents necessary for job performance.
  • Consult and coordinate with other practices and sub-consultants as required to ensure project success.
  • Attend bi-weekly meetings with the project team to discuss project progress and tasks.
  • Ensure ISO compliance requirements and operate within specified budget parameters.
  • Complete all tasks on time and within budget while fully meeting project scope.
  • Achieve or exceed budgeted individual utilization targets.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Complete other duties as required or assigned.

Duties, Responsibilities & Other

We are looking for an Electrical EIT to support our MEP design projects in San Antonio. This position will require working independently after some training to develop electrical design drawings for building systems. This will include creating a one-line diagram, creating load analysis, creating panel schedules, researching product data sheets for various pieces of equipment to find the electrical information. Selecting/ specifying electrical equipment like switchboards/ panels/ transformer/ Lighting Controls.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the design and preparation of construction drawings for a variety of MEP projects
  • Perform engineering calculations, interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Work with multiple engineering disciplines and perform drafting/CADD work.

  • Ensure that all projects fulfill ISO compliance requirements and operate within specified budget parameters.
  • Complete all tasks on time and within budget while fully meeting project scope.
  • Achieve or exceed budgeted individual utilization targets.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Complete other duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications
