Cushing Terrell in Helena, MT seeks an Electrical Engineer-In-Training to learn Revit aided drafting and electrical design for power and lighting on diverse projects.
You will study NEC requirements, read plans, coordinate with other disciplines, and develop basic load calculations and one-line diagrams under supervision.
This entry-level role offers a pathway toward professional licensure, emphasizing math, communication, and hands-on design experience.
As an Electrical Engineer-In-Training or Designer, you will learn the basics of Revit aided drafting and electrical design. This position will gain an understanding of the applicable codes and regulations that govern our industry and how to apply basic calculations required for determining loads in kilowatts and amps as measured between various system voltages. An Electrical EIT or Designer will apply this knowledge in the design of branch circuiting and feeders to serve electrical loads (power and lighting) on a variety of project types. This position will learn how to read and understand architectural plans and how to coordinate with other related disciplines in the production of contract documents.
The expected salary range for this position is $65,000 to $80,000 annually.

*Actual pay will be determined based on the candidate’s years of experience, licensure status, location, level of proficiency, and other job‑related factors (as permitted by law). This position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus.
