Job description

Electrical EIT or Designer
Position Description

Cushing Terrell is hiring an Electrical EIT or Designer to take ownership of electrical design across a wide range of project types, including power distribution, lighting design, life safety systems, and arc flash and short circuit studies.

You will produce construction documents spanning branch circuit design, service and feeder calculations, panel schedules, and lighting layouts for projects across a wide variety of markets. You will also build one-line diagrams and run arc-fault, short circuit, and arc flash studies, and apply your understanding of emergency power systems, including generators, UPS systems, and battery-backed life safety lighting, to keep designs code compliant.

What does success look like year one? You are independently producing one-line diagrams and arc flash studies, taking the lead on assigned electrical scopes, and contributing specifications and technical documentation from design development through construction administration, with the latitude to help shape your own project mix over time.
