Cushing Terrell is seeking an Electrical EIT or Designer to own electrical design across a broad range of projects, including power distribution, lighting, life safety, and arc-flash studies.
You will produce construction documents, one-line diagrams, and perform arc-fault, short circuit, and arc flash studies, applying knowledge of emergency power systems to keep designs code compliant. The role emphasizes independent ownership and collaboration from design through construction administration.
Cushing Terrell is hiring an Electrical EIT or Designer to take ownership of electrical design across a wide range of project types, including power distribution, lighting design, life safety systems, and arc flash and short circuit studies.
You will produce construction documents spanning branch circuit design, service and feeder calculations, panel schedules, and lighting layouts for projects across a wide variety of markets. You will also build one-line diagrams and run arc-fault, short circuit, and arc flash studies, and apply your understanding of emergency power systems, including generators, UPS systems, and battery-backed life safety lighting, to keep designs code compliant.
What does success look like year one? You are independently producing one-line diagrams and arc flash studies, taking the lead on assigned electrical scopes, and contributing specifications and technical documentation from design development through construction administration, with the latitude to help shape your own project mix over time.
The expected salary range for this position is $67,000 to $85,000 annually.
*Actual pay will be determined based on the candidate's years of experience, licensure status, location, level of proficiency, and other job‑related factors (as permitted by law). This position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus.
