Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking an Electrical Engineer to provide hardware design and support for aerospace and regulated environments. You will diagnose complex circuits, develop test procedures, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver compliant hardware solutions across manufacturing and product development.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering and 3+ years of hardware design experience, with proficiency in Cadence tools and PCB layout.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering, or related discipline.
• At least 3 years designing electronic hardware in a regulated industry.
• Experience with op-amps, comparators, discrete components, ADCs, and power-switching devices.
• Ability to diagnose and solve complex circuit- and system-level problems.
• Experience creating schematics with Cadence OrCAD or DxDesigner.
• Familiarity with PCB design/layout Cadence Allegro or PADS.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and/or MathCAD for analysis and documentation.
• Strong written and verbal communication across technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support to manufacturing operations and contribute to ongoing product enhancements.
• Analyze, diagnose, and troubleshoot analog and digital electronic circuits.
• Develop, review, and carry out engineering test procedures, records, and supporting documentation.
• Contribute to design reviews with internal engineering teams as well as external suppliers.
• Assist with verification and validation efforts for aerospace electronic systems and components.
• Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and other cross-functional teams to address technical challenges.
• Investigate and resolve hardware and product-performance issues, helping identify effective corrective actions.
• Contribute to initiatives focused on product safety, quality improvement, process optimization, and continuous improvement.
