Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Nuclear Power Group in Minnesota. You will work on design, modification, and analysis of power plant electrical systems, collaborating with engineers and designers on challenging projects.

Responsibilities include preparing calculations (three-phase AC/DC, short circuit, voltage drop, motor starting, protective relays) and engineering reports, and reviewing drawings. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering from ABET-accredited program required.
• 3+ years in design of electrical engineering systems for power plants or modifications.
• Experience with MV/LV distribution, transformers, generators, motors, and protective relays.

Responsibilities

• Work under electrical engineering lead/PM in a project team for power plant electrical systems.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and solve electrical engineering issues.
• Prepare and review detailed power studies and calculations; develop design input for drawings.
