Job summary

Syska Hennessy Group in Washington DC is seeking an Electrical Engineer III-IV to join the design team. You will create basic designs under the Senior Engineer, develop system narratives and layouts for diverse projects, and participate in QA/QC, scheduling, budgeting, and field inspections.

LEED/PE credentials are valued. The role requires REVIT and AutoCAD MEP proficiency, and the candidate should have 3.5–7+ years in a consulting environment, with FE/EIT as a minimum.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an Accredited Institution.
• 3.5–7+ years of experience in a consulting firm.
• Current PE registration preferred; FE/EIT required.
• LEED AP preferred.
• REVIT and AutoCAD MEP experience.
• Proficient in design and calculation software.

Responsibilities

• Create basic designs under the direction of the Senior Engineer and/or Senior Designer.
• Develop specifications, system narratives, and system layouts for projects of varying sizes.
• Ensure QA/QC for own work and that of others.
• Assist in scheduling, manpower planning, and project budgets.
• Perform construction administration and field investigations with detailed reports.
• Process RFIs, Change Orders, Bulletins, and Addenda.
