Job summary

Salas O’Brien in St. Louis, MO is seeking an Electrical Engineer III to lead electrical, instrumentation, and controls design on major projects. You will develop bid and construction documents and guide engineers and designers toward on-time delivery.

Requires a BS in Electrical Engineering, 7+ years’ experience, EIT with PE potential, and strong communication. On-site role with some travel; relocation/visa sponsorship considered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
• 7+ years’ experience in electrical engineering (preferably related to construction or heavy industrial).
• EIT required with ability to obtain PE within six months of hire; PE preferred.
• Extensive electrical engineering experience with a broad range of industrial project types.
• Excellent communications skills with an understanding of teamwork and the requisite ability to coordinate work with internal and external project stakeholders.
• Minimal travel may be required.
• Able to lift 25 pounds, ascend industrial structures unaided.
• U.S. Citizenship preferred; willing to sponsor the right candidate.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager on major projects.
• Independently manage projects with a majority electrical scope.
• Manage and provide technical guidance and oversight to engineers and designers.
• Define, interpret, and track assigned project budgets, schedules, and scopes.
• Direct preparation of bid and construction document packages.
