Job summary

ASM is seeking an Engineer II, Electrical Engineering to advance electrical design for process-module subsystems used in advanced semiconductor equipment. You will own schematics, wiring diagrams, interconnects, power distribution, sensors, and safety circuits throughout development and release.

You will collaborate with mechanical, process, controls, software, manufacturing, supply chain, and service teams to ensure robust architectures meeting performance, safety, and productization

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; advanced degree a plus.
• Experience designing and troubleshooting electrical systems for complex electromechanical equipment.
• Proficiency with electrical CAD tools for schematic capture and cable/harness design.
• Knowledge of safety and machinery standards (NEC, NFPA 79, UL 508A, ISO 13849, EN/IEC 60204-1).

Responsibilities

• Own electrical design of process-module subsystems from concept through release (schematics, wiring diagrams, interconnects, power distribution).
• Translate requirements into electrical design solutions supporting reliable tool operation.
• Collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, service and quality teams.
• Select and qualify components based on performance, safety, and lifecycle considerations.
• Design and review safety-related electrical systems, including interlocks and safety circuits.
• Develop, review, and release engineering documentation (schematics, BOMs, test plans, ECOs).
• Support prototype builds, verification, troubleshooting, and corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate electrical documentation aligned with standards and releases.
• Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and continuous improvement activities.
• Communicate status, risks, and recommendations to project stakeholders.
